Dancehall singer Moyann released the visuals for her steamy new single, Backseat, on January 27.

Inspired by a personal experience, the entertainer paints a picture of the intimate actions adults find themselves engaging in on the back seat of a car.

" Boy gimi pon the back seat. Mi want to feel it harder than concrete. Mi naah wait so park under the damn tree," she sings. The song is now trending on the local YouTube chart.

Moyann told THE STAR that when she initially got the rhythm from Chimney Records, her writing process took her down a different avenue. She, however, felt that the song she was coming up with did not quite go with the flow and so she drew for her lyric book and stumbled upon the first verse of Backseat, which she had written some time ago. Having found out that the song and the riddim synced perfectly, Moyann discarded the other song.

I have been there

"I know that because of the topic it ( Backseat) would be a song that people would be very excited about. I have been there (on the back seat of a car), and I know a lot of people have some of those same experiences, so I knew the song would be relatable," she said. "I knew people would take on to it, but I never really expected to get this amount of love on the song and so it's crazy what's happening. People really love the vibe, it's trending, and so, honestly, the reaction has been great."

Moyann says if the song ends up becoming an anthem on the local entertainment scene, it would be a huge career boost.

"I think this can be 'the song," she said. "If that happened, it would be an exceptional feeling to know that I can trust my writing process, and that I can do whatever needs to be done to get myself out there. I see myself being in the international market representing dancehall and Jamaica on a whole; that is where I want to be."
