Woman says God wants Kartel to be a prophet
A Serbian woman says she has been divinely instructed to deliver a message to dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel, urging him to use his influence for good and step into his true calling as a prophet.
"The Lord wants him to become a preacher. I love him myself and he must come to the Lord and serve Him as a prophet; that is what he is called for," Sister Tijana Smiljanic told THE STAR. She added that the entertainer "has become a little bit too stray".
"He should be serving with both hand and feet but he isn't, but he can still be," she said.
Vybz Kartel, whose given name is Adidja Palmer, was freed from prison on July 31, 2024 after serving 13 years for a 2014 murder conviction that was overturned by the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
Smiljanic opined that the dancehall star could help influence Jamaicans to repent.
"God laid on my heart that he should be a preacher and the rest of the youths will come because they look up to him. He has the number one impact in Jamaica," she said of the deejay.
Smiljanic added that before becoming a Christian, she used to listen to the artiste and believes his voice could be used for worship.
"He has an angelic voice. He should use his voice to worship the Lord. People look up to him, and if he steps in faith and is guided by the Holy Spirit, people will follow him and God will heal the land," she said.
Now on her second trip to Jamaica, Smiljanic said she is also on a mission to warn citizens to repent before June, as, if they do not, God will send a destructive hurricane. She was walking around with a sign that read 'Repent by June 2026', which she said she got from her "sister", a fellow believer.
"She had a revelation that around June 2026, if the people repent before June, God can show mercy ... if not, a big hurricane," she said. Smiljanic said that while she met a group of women on Friday morning who are spreading the repentance message, and she fully believes the vision they shared.
"For them to do, I believe any vision from the Lord. They had on shirts that said 'Jamaica Stop', telling people to repent. Yes, I believe the vision," she said.
Smiljanic, who travelled to the island from Amsterdam, Holland, opined that Hurricane Melissa was a foreshadowing of what could come.
"That was just a warning," she said.
While she could not say whether the hurricane referenced in the revelation would be worse, Smiljanic said Jamaicans should treat the message seriously. She added that she has also travelled to Curacao during her mission and plans to remain in Jamaica for another week.
"I am just sowing the good seeds and it will bear fruit," she said.
