Ocho Rios crash claims life of 70-y-o Norwegian woman

A 70-year-old foreign national lost her life after being struck by a motorcar along Milford Road in Ocho Rios, St Ann, on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Torill-Oyen Jarrett of Norway.

Reports are that about 2:10 p.m. on January 25, Jarrett was walking along Milford Road when she was hit by a 1989 Toyota Corolla, sustaining severe injuries.

She was rushed to St Ann's Bay Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The 24-year-old driver of the vehicle has been warned for prosecution.

The Tourism Liaison Officer has been informed, and investigations into the incident are ongoing by the Ocho Rios Traffic Department.
