Four arrested after gun found in Kingston home

Armed with a search warrant, members of the Joint Anti-Gang Task Force swooped down on a premises in Manley Meadows, Kingston, late Monday night where they allegedly found a Smith & Wesson firearm with a magazine hidden in the bedroom..

Reports are that about 10:50 p.m. on September 29, lawmen searched the room at the location. The weapon was reportedly discovered tucked inside a brown and plaid handbag beneath a pile of clothing in a board closet.

Four persons were arrested in connection with the seizure. Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.

Police say the operation is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle criminal networks and remove illegal guns from the streets.
