Voting moved to resident's home after Hanover polling station set on fire

"Hanover" has been trending in Jamaica since news broke that a polling station in the parish was set on fire this morning.

Voting is now progressing at the home of Fitzroy Bailey, a resident of Knockalva in the Hanover Eastern constituency following a fire at the Knockalva Basic School which was the original polling station.

The building was set ablaze about 2 o'clock  this morning.

Commanding officer for the Hanover police, Superintendent Arthel Colley, said he was unable to give additional information, but stressed that the police are investigating and will provide an update as soon as possible.
