Scammers set up fake Jahvillani pages
Dancehall artiste Jahvillani is cautioning fans to be careful who they correspond with on social media after finding out there are several fake pages set up in his name.
He said that he found out scammers began soliciting money from potential clients when his legitimate team began getting messages about undelivered dubs and his no-show at events.
He says things have got worse and he would now like to make clear the channels through which he conducts official business.
Pointing out that the only page authorised to conduct business on his behalf is BOOKJAHVILLANI@gmail.com, or through the number (876) 817-5209, Jahvillani told THE STAR , in a statement, that he wants his supporters to stop falling prey to scammers.
"Love the support from the fans and me nuh want the people dem a give away dem hard-earned money to scammers and look fi blame the artiste or my team," he said.
"Do the right thing and get the official bookings. Happy New Year and gwaan support Wileside Givernment inna 2020 and beyond."
The entertainer's team says they believe the artiste was targeted because of his fast rise on the dancehall scene.
