Ever since the release date for DJ Khaled's next album was announced, speculation has been rife as to which Jamaican artistes will be featured on the project.

And when the internationally acclaimed producer made two trips to Jamaica in a matter of months, it became almost certain that the album would have a strong Jamaican influence.

This was confirmed on Wednesday when Khaled released the official album cover, as well as behind-the-scenes videos from the shoot.

The photo, which features him and his son, was taken on one of his trips to Jamaica on a luxurious private property owned by business mogul Gordon 'Butch' Stewart.

But aside from the photo, the album could feature at least two of Jamaica's best recording artistes.

On both trips to Jamaica, Khaled had a number of meetings with Sizzla and the recently returned Buju Banton.

Although no official confirmation has been given about whether the pair will feature on the project, Sizzla and Buju are expected to make appearances.

In his post promoting the album, Sizzla showed exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of a video shot at Judgement Yard during one of Khaled's visits.

In addition to touring the August Town property, the two can be seen vibing in the studio. In Buju's post, he labelled Khaled a brother and used the album cover image as promotion.

If Banton and Sizzla manage to land tracks on the highly anticipated album, it would not be the first time Jamaican talent is featured on a DJ Khaled production.

In 2017, both Sizzla and Mavado were part of his Grateful album, which was certified platinum in the United States and Denmark and gold in France, Switzerland and Canada.

Khaled, who has been teasing the album for months, has hinted that the project will pack some serious star power, labelling it his best work to date.

Cardi B, Rihanna, Travis Scott, Bryson Tiller, and the late Nipsey Hussle are all rumoured to have voiced tracks for the We The Best Music compilation.

Leading up to the project's release, Khaled partnered with TIDAL to release an exclusive documentary titled Father of Asahd: The Album Experience.

The preview of the upcoming documentary features cameos by Jay-Z, Meek Mill, SZA and others.

The documentary will showcase the making of the album and will feature some scenes shot in Jamaica.
