He won’t take no for an answer
Dear Pastor,
I am a 23-year-old woman and I am living with my boyfriend, but I know a guy who is in my age group who loves me. He is always calling me, and telling me that I am on his mind and he wants us to get together.
He knows I have my boyfriend, but insists that will not stop him from trying to be with me. He is a wild man. He has many girls.
I have told him to meet me at different places but I didn't show up. Whenever I don't go and he sees me, he tells me that I tricked him. I normally tell him I did not trick him, I just did not remember. However, I believe that he knows that I am lying to him.
Friends told me I should show up one day and lie to him. I should tell him I need $100,000 and see if he would give me that amount of money. Another friend told me that I should tell him that I am in a 'jam' and I need financial help.
I am afraid to ask, because I would not want my boyfriend to hear that I took money from this man, or that I had sex with him.
He is not taking no for an answer. I can get some money, but I am not sure whether I want money from him, so please give me your advice.
M,
Dear M,
Your friends are not encouraging you to do what is right. If you don't want to have a relationship with this man do not take his money. Be satisfied with what you earn and the little you may get from your boyfriend.
Some women do things that are wrong, and by doing so they put themselves in danger. Your life is more important than money.
Pastor
