Boyfriend keeping two of us at once

May 04, 2020

Dear Pastor,

I am 24 and I have been in a relationship with a man for the past year and a half. He used to be my neighbour, but he doesn't live in the area anymore. I see him every weekend. I go to his apartment and wash and clean for him.

Sometimes I cook for him. I don't always like to sleep over, but sometimes he insists. He told me that he wants us to have a baby, but I am doing my master's degree, so I am not interested in having a baby now.

When I am at his house, his phone is always off. He said the reason for having it turned off is because he didn't like anybody to disturb him. One Saturday about 6 p.m., a young woman came by and she was angry.

She said that she was trying to call him and couldn't get him. When I looked out, I recognised her; she and I were in classes together.

When I went out, my boyfriend was trying to hurry her away. She was surprised to see me there and I was surprised to see her. She asked me what I was doing at his house and I told her that he is my man, and she said he is her man, too.

Both of us were stunned. I went back into the room and started to pack my little bag, and he came in and told me not to leave, and she said she would leave, so she left.

Pastor, it is hard for me to trust men. I had no idea that this man had a woman in his life while telling me that he wanted us to have a child. He is begging me not to leave him.

I am confused. I don't know what to do. Please help me to make a decision.

K.J

Dear K.J,

You are an intelligent girl. You have discovered that this man is a liar. I suggest that you drop this man. Let him go his way. He is not trustworthy. Let the other woman ha ve him. And that is the way I see it.
