TOP Cavalier forwards Shaneil Thomas and Jalmaro Calvin continued their rich vein of form in the Concacaf Caribbean Cup to lead their team to an emphatic 5-0 win over Harbour View in the first leg of their semi-final at Sabina Park last night.

Cavalier jumped into an early lead just five minutes into the match when leading scorer Thomas turned a volley home from 10 yards from a left side cross from Orlando Russell to take his tally to eight goals.

The Rudolph Speid-coached team then doubled their advantage seven minutes later when Harbour View failed to clear from a free kick and Calvin lashed home from close range after 12 minutes.

Harbour View took control of possession after the early setbacks but never threatened their opponents.

After the break, Shaquile Bradford had two great chances to cut the deficit but failed to make them count.

Then moments later Calvin and Thomas combined to get the third goal which was eventually ruled as an own goal in the 62nd minute.

Cavalier made it 4-0 when Jeovanni Laing slammed home a loose ball following a clearance from a corner in the 73rd minute.

Dwayne Allen then capped off a fine performance when he fired home a pass from Thomas from 12 yards, five minutes from the end.

The second leg is set for next Tuesday at the same venue.

The other first leg semi-final between Moca of the Dominican Republic and Robinhood of Suriname takes place today in the Dominican Republic.
