Uzi among firearms seized in Kingston

Police in Kingston East have scored a major find after an Uzi submachine gun was discovered among a cache of weapons and ammunition during an early morning operation on Thompson Avenue on Tuesday.

During the sweep, officers recovered one Uzi submachine gun, three magazines, three Glock pistol magazines, one AK rifle magazine, twelve twelve gauge cartridges, one 5 point 56 cartridge and one point four five cartridge.

No one was arrested following the seizure, the Jamaica Constabulary Force reported in a post on the social media site X.

Investigators say their probe into the find is ongoing.
