Alleged cop killer gunned down

The main suspect in this morning's attack on a police team has been shot and killed.

The police say 39-year-old Damion Hamilton, a deportee, was shot dead in a major security operation in Cooreville Gardens, St Andrew this afternoon.

The police say Hamilton fired on the cops injuring two of them.

A 9mm pistol was reportedly taken from him.

The incident comes just under 12 hours after two other cops were shot dead and two injured in a pre-dawn attack.
