Veteran Clarendon act working on new material
Veteran reggae artiste Roland Burrell is still keeping himself quite busy, recording and performing throughout Jamaica.
Burrell, who was born in Pennants, Clarendon, has done various songs over the years, including Stormy Night, Johnny Dollar, and Black Race.
One of his latest singles, Street Life, featuring his grandson Jahvel, has been getting rave reviews since its release a few months ago. The song was produced by Street Boss Entertainment and Talent Squad Records.
Another song, Love You Now, produced by Big Stone Records & Promotions, has been a DJ and fan favourite since its release late last year. Both singles are available on all digital music platforms for streaming and purchase.
Positive reception
The artiste expressed his satisfaction and appreciation about the positive reception of the songs.
“The feedbacks are very encouraging and motivating,” said Burrell.
The singer is currently working on other projects, which include two more singles, Fight Di Fight and My Princess, which also features Jahvel.
According to Burrell, Fight Di Fight is a motivational and inspirational song that celebrates strength, courage, hope and resilience.
The versatile Rastafarian artiste is comfortable in various genres and styles. He continues to gift his fans with conscious roots reggae, lovers’ rock, spiritual, and dancehall tunes.
“The most important thing for me is to be creative and to convey positive messages through my music. I have several surprises coming up soon for my fans, including the recording of an album,” Burrell said.
