Jomo Celebrity hunts stardom
Following the release of his two latest singles, 'Hush Up' and 'Big Bumper', Jomo Celebrity is hoping to follow in the footsteps of some of his former schoolmates who have gone on to have illustrious musical careers.
The past student of Calabar High School contends that he has what it takes to be a star, listing Vybz Kartel and Cordell 'Skatta' Burrell as some of the famous Calabar past students who he looks up to.
"What make me a star is the way how I delivery music, and the way I do my music I won't do anything controversial that would make me a star," he explained.
With the aim of producing 'good music' as his main priority, he cites Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel and Shabba Ranks as his musical influences. He also believes that after producing high-quality music, he will be able to reach a wider audience and elevate his career.
"From I know music, I have never struggled. The only struggle I have is to become bigger in music," he told THE WEEKEND STAR.
And he believes Hush Up, which is produced by Cornelius Records, and Big Bumper, which is a production of Shadyville Music, can help his career to grow.
